Integrating Postcards with HubSpot allows you to easily export your email templates and campaigns from Postcards into HubSpot for sending. In this tutorial, we’ll walk through the simple process.
You can send your emails created in the Postcards app directly to your HubSpot account.
Connect your HubSpot account
To get started, open the Postcards email template you want to export to HubSpot. Customize the template as needed, then mouse over the export button in the top menu bar and click “Integrations” from the dropdown menu.
Click the “Export” button and choose the “Export to” option.
In the pop-up, choose HubSpot to connect your account.
On the Integrations page, you’ll see a list of supported platforms you can export to. Click on “HubSpot” to connect your Postcards and HubSpot accounts. If you’re not already logged into your HubSpot account, you’ll be prompted to log in. Select the HubSpot account you want to integrate with and click “Choose Account.”
In the next step, choose your account and click on it.
Your Postcards template will now be imported directly into your HubSpot Templates. You can click the hyperlink in the confirmation message to go straight to your HubSpot Templates page, where you’ll see the imported template.
With the first connection, your template will be exported to your HubSpot account. Click the link “HubSpot Templates” to see the assets in HubSpot.
Next, click the exported templates and you will see the HTML code of this template. You can preview it to check if it’s the same as you created using the Postcards app.
If everything looks good, you can now use this template within HubSpot to send campaigns and newsletters to your email subscribers. The template will retain all design and content from your original Postcards template for a seamless transition between platforms.
Exporting email templates from Postcards into HubSpot only takes a couple minutes, allowing you to leverage the power of both platforms. With this integration, you can easily design beautiful templates in Postcards and deploy them through HubSpot’s robust email marketing tools.
Next time you need to export the email template, you can click the already connected account and Postcards will export the template directly to your HubSpot account.
HubL Variables Setup
HubSpot requires the insertion of their variables into your email templates. For this, you need to include all required variables in the footer of your Postcards email. You can find the list of all required HubSpot variables on their page. https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/cms/hubl/variables
Below, you can see the most common error that occurs if you don’t use the required variables.
To fix this, you need to add all variables to your email template. In the example below, we have inserted all variables into the email footer.
