Custom Fonts
Fonts are an important part of a brand’s identity – they help keep all your email designs consistent and recognizable.
In Postcards, you can upload and use custom fonts to make your templates look unique and on-brand.
Note: Custom fonts are available only in Plus and Pro plans.

Ways to Add Custom Fonts
There are two ways to add custom fonts in Postcards:
From a Text Layer
- Select any text layer in your project.

- In the right sidebar, next to the Text title, you’ll notice a menu icon (three lines).

- Click it → choose Custom Fonts.

- A Custom Fonts popup will appear, giving you two upload options:
(a) Click the blue “click here to browse” link to open your file picker and select fonts manually

(b) Drag and drop a single font file or multiple files directly from your device

From the Default Font Family
- Click anywhere on the canvas background (to deselect all layers).

- In the right sidebar (Container) find Default Font Family.
- Next to it, click the menu icon.
- Select Custom Fonts → the same upload popup will appear.

Inside the Custom Fonts Popup
Once you’ve uploaded fonts (one or more), you’ll see a list of all of them with several options and fields:
- Font File Name - Displays the uploaded file’s original name.
- Bin Icon - Deletes that specific font, useful if you uploaded a batch and want to remove some.
- Font Family - A name field, you can keep the default or set your own recognizable name.
- Font Weight - Usually detected automatically, but you can change it using the dropdown (e.g. Regular, Bold, 600, etc.).
- Style - Choose between Normal and Italic. This setting follows standard HTML behavior — any font can technically be displayed as italic even if the uploaded file isn’t a true italic version. However, for branding accuracy and visual quality, it’s best to use genuine italic font files when possible.
Once all details are correct, press the green “Add Font” button to confirm.
Note: Without pressing Add Font, your upload won’t be saved.

Applying a Custom Font
Once your font is uploaded and confirmed:
- Select the text you want to update.
- In the right sidebar, under the text section, click on the current font name.
- Your uploaded font(s) will now appear in the list below.
- Click on your custom font – the text will instantly update to use it.

Edit or Delete Uploaded Fonts
You can edit or delete your uploaded fonts using the same Custom Fonts popup.
Under each font name, you’ll see two icons:
- Edit (rectangle with a diagonal line)
- Delete (bin icon)

Edit
Click the Edit icon to modify:
- Font Family Name
- Font Weight
- Style (Normal or Italic)
Don’t forget to press the green “Update” button to save changes.
To cancel edits, press the X (close) icon.

Delete
Click the Bin icon.
A confirmation prompt will appear: “No, cancel” or “Yes, delete.”
Confirming will permanently remove the font – this action cannot be undone.

Important: Fonts currently in use in any project cannot be deleted. You’ll first need to replace them with another font before removal.
