Postcards AI Copywriter
The AI Copywriter in Postcards enhances your email content creation by refining and rewriting text to match the tone and style your message calls for. It's ideal for crafting concise, impactful copy tailored to your campaign's needs, without leaving the editor.

By selecting a text element and highlighting the words you want to improve, you can rewrite them in a chosen tone, follow your own custom instruction, and even hold the result to a set length. Below is an overview of how to use the AI Copywriter to improve your writing.
What you can do with it
- Rewrite in a specific tone — choose from nine presets: Empathetic, Confident, Casual, Direct, Constructive, Assertive, Inspirational, Friendly, and Formal.
- Give a custom instruction — turn on Custom Prompt and describe how you want the text rewritten in your own words (for example, "make it sound more urgent" or "rewrite it for a holiday promotion").
- Cap the length — turn on Length Limit and use the slider to keep the rewritten text within a set size, which is useful for headlines, buttons, and other tight spaces.
Note: AI Copywriter runs on AI credits, included as a monthly allowance with paid plans (and toppable with credit packs). If your workspace is on the free plan (0 credits), you'll be prompted to upgrade before you can rewrite text.
How to use it

- Select a text element in your email to open the Text settings in the right-hand panel.
- Highlight the text you want to rewrite inside that element.
- Scroll to the AI Copywriter section in the right panel.
- Choose how you want the text rewritten:
- Pick a tone — click one of the tone tags (e.g., Confident, Friendly, Formal).
- Or use a custom prompt — switch on Custom Prompt and type your instruction.
- Optional: turn on Length Limit and drag the slider to cap how many words the rewrite can use.

- Click Rewrite. The AI replaces your highlighted text with the new version.
Not happy with the result? Adjust the tone, prompt, or length and click Rewrite again to generate a fresh version.
Credits
Each rewrite costs 5 credits (shown as ✦ 5 on the Rewrite button), a flat rate that doesn't change with text length or tone. Credits are drawn from your workspace balance, so a rewrite only runs when you have enough. You're charged only on success — if a rewrite fails, no credits are deducted.
Available on any paid plan (Lite or higher); if you run low, you'll be prompted to Add More Credits. For how credits work across workspaces, see Creating and Managing Workspaces in Postcards.
Tips for better results
- Try a few tones. The same sentence can read very differently as Confident vs. Friendly — regenerate until it fits your campaign.
- Be specific in custom prompts. "Make it shorter and punchier for a sale banner" beats "make it better."
- Use the length limit for tight spots. Buttons, subject-style headlines, and preheaders benefit from a hard cap.
- Rewrite section by section. Highlighting one paragraph or headline at a time gives you more control than rewriting a whole block.
- Preview before sending. Check how the rewritten text renders across devices and email clients so nothing breaks your layout.
